For Such a Time as This
"Do not imagine that you in the king's palace can escape any more than all the Jews. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?" Est 4:13-14
We do not put our hope in men. We put our hope in God in men. (Dr. Jerry Back, July 17, 2020)
We live in perilous times. It is not the first time the future of a people and a nation have hung in the balance. Each time, God has raised up individuals who might character and might, changed the course of history. Human history will continue on earth as long as God will. Our hope is not in anyone past, present, or future in time under the sun except Jesus, the Son of God incarnate. Yet, while we await His soon return, we need to pray for those in authority, all those in authority whether good or evil. Especially we should pray for those who are in positions of liberty who stand and proclaim clearly their faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. While the world may hold such men and women in derision, their declarations of faith should encourage us who count them as brethren in Christ. Two such individuals are Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo and Vice-President Mike Pence. Here are their testimonies in their own words.
